Things to Know

Q: Are these sessions right for me?

A: Each session revolves around your work-in-progress, which we then discuss also through listening or exploring references that can spark new directions. You’ll be encouraged to bring something you’re currently developing, whether that’s an early recorded sketch, a finished track, or just an idea, as a starting point for deeper exploration. We’ll use the time to reflect on your work, clarify your artistic direction, and think together about how it could develop further.

Q: Do I need to be highly skilled at music production or a trained musician?

A: No – these sessions are for artists with a clear creative vision or curiosity, not necessarily technical expertise. Whether you're a trained or self-taught artist, what matters most is your commitment to advancing your practice, inspiration and aesthetics.

Q: I'm not a musician – can I still take part?

A: Yes. I work with artists across disciplines, including performers, writers and visual artists. If your work intersects with music, sound, performance or storytelling – these sessions can still be relevant and valuable.

Q: What kind of outcomes or skills can I expect to gain?

A: Sessions are designed to help you:
  • Refine your artistic voice and long-term direction
  • Develop a distinctive body of work or portfolio
  • Strengthen creative confidence and decision-making
  • Improve the way in which you frame, present and communicate your work

Q: Are sessions only focused on the creative process?

A: Not necessarily. While sessions often centre on creative development, we can also explore how you plan to share your work with the world – from developing an identity around a release to building momentum and engaging audiences. Many of the artists I work with use these sessions to navigate the challenges of putting creative work into the public realm.

Q: Can you work with groups or collectives?

A: Yes. I have extensive experience leading group workshops and supporting collaborative projects, and I’m happy to work with pairs, duos or small collectives developing work together. Sessions can be adapted to support shared creative dynamics and collective goals.

Q: How long are sessions, and are they in person or remote?

A: Each session lasts one hour. I offer sessions remotely via video call, or in person for artists based in London (subject to availability).

          Q: How do I book a session?

A: To book, just get in touch via hi@frameworkbyguybaron.com with a short intro about your practice and what you’re hoping to explore. I’ll follow up to arrange a first meeting.

Q: How much do sessions cost?

A: Pricing depends on the nature and frequency of sessions. I offer both short-form and long-form development packages, and the first introductory meeting is complimentary – it’s a chance for us to talk, explore what you’re working on, and see how I might be able to support you. Please contact me for current rates and options.

Q: Do I need to be at a specific stage in my project or career?

A: No. Some artists come with a focused project already in motion; others arrive with just an impulse, a question or a desire to develop their creative expression. As long as you're ready to deepen your practice and your understanding of it, these sessions can meet you where you are.

Q: Is this therapy or counselling?

A: No, these sessions are not therapy or counselling. They are grounded in an art school ethos and rooted in creative practice-based research. We focus on conceptual and contextual framing through hands-on experimentation, critical dialogue and reflective practice. While personal feelings and motivations often surface in the creative process, the sessions aim to channel those into advancing your practice and refining the aesthetic and expressive qualities of your work.
