The Method

Sessions are rooted in a practice-based, art school-inspired ethos–one that values making, reflecting and evolving through doing. Each session begins with your creative work and ideas-in-progress. From there, we explore ways to move your practice forward: working with what’s already present, embracing experimentation and shaping a distinctive creative identity–all in support of your ongoing development as an artist.

Bring Your Creative Work
Use works-in-progress as a departure point for dialogue, reflection and the ongoing production of new work
Make With What You Have
Apply an “availabist” mindset with available tools, ideas and accidents to build momentum and unlock new possibilities
Try New Things
Engage in open-ended experimentation and creative risk-taking, with no pressure to reach resolution or get it “right”
Commit Creatively
Develop confidence in your instincts and avoid getting caught in cycles of refinement or habitual reworking
Shape Your Aesthetics
Establish an idiosyncratic voice by attending to how your work is framed, presented and contextualised
